About Roberto Deri Photograpy
Roberto Deri inizia la sua attività di fotografo come reporter. Inspirato dai grandi foto giornalisti cerca di raccontare storie che colpiscano l’opinione pubblica lanciando messaggi che stimolino la riflessione su temi scomodi o poco dibattuti. Prendendo sempre più coscienza del fatto che la fotografia è comunicazione estende il suo campo di attività anche a progetti di tipo editoriale e comunicativo. Collabora come foto giornalista freelance con agenzie estere come corrispondente dall’Italia e realizza immagini su commissione per progetti editoriali e commerciali.

"The relationship with images, both in art and communication is one of the peculiarities
of the projects realized at Tempo Reale in recent years. The festival opens this year
by covering a number of Tuscan photographers that survey the use of images in both
the artistic and communicative sectors. Roberto Deri, collaborator at the centre, has
reinterpreted the theme of “landscape” in a strident and sometimes surprising and
provocative way. Some images used for the festival promotional campaign call for
a reflection on pollution and degradation on the landscape of our times."
